What do air fryers do? Are they any good? Can they cook healthy food? These are questions one would normally ask when in the market for air fryers. With this Rosewill Air Fryer review, we will try to give answers to your questions. Hopefully, we can give you more information that might help you decide whether this is the right fryer to buy.

Rosewill Air Fryer Review

Today we talk about Rosewill 8 in 1 Low Fat Healthy Air Fryer (RHAF-15004). It is sold at a very affordable price, almost comparable to the Avalon Bay Air Fryer. Being a low-cost product, one would ask if its performance is also at a bargain? No. The reasonable price does not mean subpar cooking.

Volume of Food

The Rosewill Hot Air Fryer is furnished with a basket sized at 2.6 quartz. This basket is made with a mesh-type wire that rests upon a drip tray that is non-stick. That’s where surplus oil goes to.

This accessory can accommodate 700gms of fries, even if it is frozen, in one batch of cooking. Potato wedges can go up to 800gms per batch, or you can go for a 500gm steak. The 2.6Q basket can take these much when it comes to their specific food group.

What can this air fryer do?

The Rosewill Air Fryer is armed to perform different styles of cooking. It can be tasked to do either of these methods: grilling, frying, baking, even roasting. Most of the food you cook in Rosewill Air Fryers averages a cooking time of 30 minutes.

For 10 to 20 minutes, you can prepare those really thick fries you love, frozen straight from your ref. Thinner ones require at least 10 and not more than15 minutes. All of these are cooked at a temperature that reaches 400 degrees in Fahrenheit, at most. And since this fryer does not make use of oil in cooking, you can safely say you’ve made fries with reduced-fat for a healthier diet.

Flexibility

Being a low-fat cooker, you gained flexibility in your diet. This can be used to prepare your grilled breakfast sandwiches, or any of your desired snacks. These can also produce full low-fat meals for your lunch and dinner menus with just little time.

This air fryer can achieve a cooked fish meal in 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. 500 grams of steak is done in 12 minutes with a 360 degrees’ temperature. With the same temperature, it takes just about 25 minutes to air fry or cook your chicken drumsticks weighing at least 500 grams. Worried about chicken oil? Don’t be. You will definitely see for yourself the excess fat expelled from the meat in the drip pan.

You will surely wonder how the food will taste like. Because of the little use of oil, the food will not taste the same as those that were fried in deep oil. Deep-fried cooking produces crunchier food than Rosewill but not by much. Food cooked with Rosewill, even with the air technology, does not become dry as long as you cook it accurately. Dryness is a result of overheating of overcooking your food so make sure you use just about the exact temperature, with the right amount of cooking time.

Preprogrammed buttons

Almost all digital kitchen appliances make use of adjustable temperature and cooking time. The Rosewill Air Fryer is not different. What makes it more desirable though, are the eight cooking presets you can use for convenience. These buttons are preprogrammed with both the right temperature and cooking time needed for their corresponding food type.

The product uses icons that depict the type of food that should be cooked under a specific preset. These are for chicken, chips, shrimp, steak, cake, fish and of course meat. All you have to do is push a specific button applicable to the food you are trying to cook. The temp and the time it takes to cook the food will adjust automatically as programmed.

These preprogrammed buttons were installed to make it convenient. If you prefer to adjust manually these settings, you may still do so. The timer is able to go up to 30 minutes while the temperature is set between 170 to 400 in Fahrenheit.

Additional Options

Rosewill Air Fryer also employs the use of start, pause and cancel options. All of these choices are displayed with its LCD screen. With these buttons and a lot of other function keys, the Rosewill Air Fryer is definitely user-friendly and is made for everybody.

The basket found in the fryer triggers the machine when to cook and when to stop. Once it is removed, the timer pauses and the cooking stops. The moment it is returned, the timer and the cooking will continue.

If the timer gets to zero, you will hear five beeps that mean the fryer has stopped cooking. It will then apply a standby mode. This particular feature makes it safe to use. And as an additional precaution, position the fryer with a 4” gap radius from other appliances.

When it comes to parts, the air fryer comes with the mesh basket and is powered by a 45” power cord. You don’t get other accessories upon purchase, although you may use any available to you, even with a different brand.

How The Fryer Works

The Rosewill Air Fryer is equipped with heating elements responsible for producing heated air with very high temperature. This air is then blown around by a fan that evenly cooks food.

The air is blown rapidly around the enclosed spaced, allowing hot air to cook the food. This technology produces the desired effect of an evenly cooked food at the fastest time possible.

The Rosewill is a healthy fryer because of the way it cooks the food. Most deep fryers need hot oil to cook their food. This product, on the other hand, uses hot air to generate the same effect.

This mechanization of blasting around high-temperature air permits the use of little oil to no oil.  As a matter of fact, you don’t need any grease to heat up pre-cooked food that is frozen. This said, it still allows the food to be cooked correctly and at a shorter time frame. Moreover, using small amounts of cooking oil makes it a healthy fryer by creating less greasy food and actually avoids having that aftertaste usually found in oily meals.

Verdict

Aside from the advantages listed above, this air fryer is also easy to clean. The parts can be easily removed and are dishwasher safe. Food can stick to the basket, but you can use foil to avoid this particular outcome. Plus, this comes with a limited warranty for a year.

Basically, it’s driving edge is being able to cook with less oil, producing healthier food. It is cheap compared to the other brands in the market, and the taste does not really differ much from those deep fried with oil.

Overall, this is a good buy. If you found this Rosewill Air Fryer review helpful, let us know in the comment section!
