Air Fryer Salmon

Husband. Father. Deep fry fanatic. Thanks for joining on me this crispy, delicious journey.

It should come as no surprise that salmon is listed as one of the most nutritious foods in the world. Dieticians and nutritionists have been recommending it on many different diet plans because of the nutrients it provides for your body. It is also a good option if you have certain diseases, specifically most heart conditions, because of the properties it contains.

Another great perk of salmon is that you can prepare it in a wide variety of methods, including roasting and air frying. It all depends on the method you prefer. Air frying is one of the best methods to prepare your salmon because it uses very little oil. Oil is linked to many health concerns, such as clogged arteries. It could also cause many health problems. This is why the air fryer is such an excellent choice for your fish.

What makes salmon healthy?

There are many health benefits of eating salmon on a regular basis. One of the most commonly known benefits is that fish contains high levels of omega-3-fatty acids. These are very important to the human body because they can provide you with things like lowered blood pressure, less inflammation, and an enhanced functioning of your veins and arteries.

Salmon is also a great source of protein, which is a nutrient that many people don’t include often enough in their diets. Proteins can help you with muscle recovery after a workout, in maintaining the muscle that you currently have, and even in promoting bone health.

Lastly, salmon is a great source of B vitamins. These are most beneficial in providing you with energy, increasing the health of your heart, and decreasing inflammation.

Salmon isn’t just high in vitamins and nutrients. You can also find a good source of minerals like potassium and selenium. Potassium plays a critical role in fluid and electrolyte balance within the human body. It also helps maintain heart health. Selenium is responsible for bone health, thyroid function, and lowering your risk for things like cancer.

Salmon Preparation

Cooking your salmon in an air fryer is great because it’s healthy and requires minimal ingredients. The only things you need on hand are your salmon filets and whatever seasonings you prefer. Your filets should be the same size and free of bones, then simply season them and place them in the machine. You want to set the air fryer for a temperature of 390 degrees and a time limit of seven minutes. When the timer goes off, just check to be sure your fish is cooked thoroughly and you’re ready to eat.
