T-fal Actifry

Husband. Father. Deep fry fanatic. Thanks for joining on me this crispy, delicious journey.

Considering an air fryer? At Least We Fried‘s T-Fal Actifry Review is here to help! The T-Fal Actifry offers an innovative design that sets it apart from the typical and often generic design that we have come to see in many other fryers like the Avalon, Dela, and Cozyna. In addition to this new design, T-Fal has managed to solve one major headache with air fryers which is turning the food over. With most other fryers, the process of turning the food over often involves taking out the basket midway through cooking and then flipping it over. The T-fal Actifry has managed to solve this problem with the use of a paddle that is placed at the middle of the pan and slowly turns to flip the food over.

T-Fal Actifry Review

The new simplistic design is a joy to look at. Air frying doesn’t require too much temperature monitoring, and it is evident that the T-fal has implemented this factor in their design. You get an on and off button and a timer control that displays a digital countdown. This timer can go as high as 99 minutes. This unit heats up to 338 °F by default but doesn’t have an adjustable thermostat.

The major drawback of this unit is the timer configuration. There is no auto shut down feature once the timer expires. What you get is a buzzer sound. This means food will continue to cook until you manually shut down the unit. It can be quite a bother when you have to stick around to monitor your food while cooking.

Another issue that has been reported is the paddle sometimes squishes smaller bits of food like tater tots when turning over and thus causing a jam. You might not experience this issue but it is worth taking note of so you can apply extra precaution.

Cleaning is pretty easy. All areas are reachable and detachable and the unit is also dishwasher friendly. Its capacity of 2.9 liters and 2.2 lbs means that you can cook enough food to serve you in one sitting at once.

One of the major highlights of the T-fal is its simplistic design and controls;  All of which has been implemented beautifully. There are problems with the paddle and absence of the auto-off feature, but this fryer does get the job done. Were it not for these issues we highlighted, perhaps it would have been number one on our list of best air fryers.

Verdict

The T-Fal Actifry review opened up our eyes. This air fryer is a great option, and it is an At Least We Fried favorite. However, a few limitations like the lacking temperature control and the issue with food paddles keeps it from being our favorite. Did you find our T-Fal Actifry review helpful?
